New Interaction between TV and the Internet

Recently I have noticed a huge surge in new interactions between television and Tv. For instance there is a new premise in America where TV comedies debut on the internet and then people are able to vote of which tv show they dislike. Then finnaly the TV show is whittled to one and then mnakes it's series debut on TV. This is a new revelation thast people are able to not only decide what they wanty to watch but also change the way they now watch TV.

Now big TV networks are putting up large profile shows so they to can latch onto this new internet phenomenon:

Interactive Tv

Television is becoming these days more and more customised and individual:

People now have more access to features then ever before. Tournaments like the World Cup and Wimbledon give people easy access to different camera angles and different matches. Does this mean as Tv becomes more interactive that people will watch less and less tv as they can customise there own viewing experience:

HD Dvd's and Blu Ray Disc

Now that downloads are continuing to affect film box offices. Each year people are finding it better and more accessible to either buy a pirate copy dvd or download. So now big company's are trying to attract the attention they once had, Big company's sony are backing Blu Ray:

And Toshiba are backing HD DVD:

There is now a big battle between these two competitors. The Sony PS3 uses blu ray so primarily if the PS3 sells well this will mean great success for sony, possibly gaining a bigf win from the huge financial loss years earlier with the vide betamax player.
